Mathematics Department
Mathematics at St Neots Community College is studied in a well equipped specialist area with networked ICT facilities. Seven of the classrooms are equipped with interactive whiteboards utilising maths alive software.
Key Stage 3 students follow the national Numeracy strategy and GCSE mathematics is studied as either a linear or modular course. AS and A2 Mathematics are popular post-16 courses comprising Pure Mathematics, Statistics and Mechanics modules. Particularly able students may also opt for AS further mathematics.
The mathematics team strives to make the subject relevant and enjoyable and challenges all students to make maximum progress. Students learn mathematics at St Neots Community College in a variety of ways and are particularly excited and challenged by ICT software. Practical, oral and investigational works are key features of all courses.
