Welcome to ICT!
At St Neots Community College we have 7 computer suites around the campus, with applications that help students develop the skills needed for later life.
In year 7 students will learn how to use the Internet safely, develop an animation sequence, create a game using a program called Scratch, collect/sort/display data using charts in a spreadsheet, develop graphic skills using Photoshop and creating/using a database.
In year 8 students will develop their knowledge from year 7 and build upon these with more challenging tasks, including creating a web site.
Year 9 will be completing an OCR Nationals qualification, which is at GCSE level.
As students will be working at GCSE level in ICT lessons it is very important that they meet all deadlines set by staff otherwise they risk falling behind and ultimately failing the qualification, however catchup lessons after school can be arranged with ICT staff.
