St Neots Community College endeavours to follow the guidance in The National Framework for CEG 11-19 in England, the DCSF Quality Standards for Young People’s Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) (click here to view the website), and the QCA guidance on Work Related Learning for All at Key Stage 4.
St Neots Community College is committed to providing a programme of careers education, information, advice and guidance for all students in Years 7-13 in partnership with the local Connexions service.
The careers programme is designed to meet the needs of students at St Neots Community College. It is designed to ensure progression through activities that are appropriate to students’ stages of career learning, planning and development. We endeavour to tackle low expectations and help young people to raise their aspirations.
Students are entitled to careers education and guidance that is impartial and confidential. It will be integrated into the curriculum through conference days (delivered in year groups) and via selected lessons. The programme will promote equality of opportunity, inclusion, anti-racism and tolerance.
