Welcome to the
Learning Resource Centre (LRC)

Opening Times:
Monday:  9am - 4.30pm
Tuesday:  8.45am - 4.30pm
Wednesday: 9am - 4.30pm
Thursday:  8.45am - 4.30pm
Friday:  9am - 3.30pm

From February 1st 2010 the Library will not be open during break time.

How many items can I borrow?
Year 7 = 2 items                                              
Year 8 & 9 = 3 items
Year 10 & 11 = 5 items                   
Year 12 & 13 = 8 items

What can I find in the LRC?
Fiction, Non-Fiction, Reference Books, Magazines, Newspapers, Computers

How long can I borrow items for?
For 3 weeks to start with – you can renew them if no other student wants them.

Do I have to pay fines for late returns?
No, but we do like the books to be returned on time.

What happens if I loose a book?
You will be asked to pay the replacement cost.

What happens if I have an overdue item?
If you have an overdue item you will be unable to borrow any more items until the overdue item is returned or if lost paid for.

Is there a homework club?
Yes this runs after school Monday-Thursday until 4.30pm and Friday lunchtime.
Students in Years 10-13 can stay until 6pm on Wednesdays to study. However if no Year 10-13s attend from 4.30pm, we reserve the right to close around 4.45pm.  If you are staying after school to homework club it is important that you inform your home.

Other information:
* The LRC runs a small stationery shop where you can purchase items such as pens.
* Connexions have an office in the LRC and are available Wednesday, Thursday & Friday.
* There is a college bookshop within LRC, where students can buy revision guides.  You can also purchase books from Waterstones in St Neots through the college bookshop at 15% off the RRP.

Library Rules:
* Please leave coats & bags by the door on the shelves.
* There is to be no food or drink in the LRC.
* No mobile phones or music devices are to be used in the LRC.

College Bookshop

Within the library there is a college bookshop where students can purchase revision guides as well as other books. There are order forms showing the range of revision guides available: please ask at the bookshop.

If there is a particular book that you would like to buy then the bookshop can order it for you from Waterstones at a 15% discount off the recommended retail price.

Please ask for Mrs White should you require any information regarding the bookshop.
