Behaviour -
Rewards and Sanctions
Good behaviour is encouraged and recognised through praise and rewards. Sanctions will be used when the rules and expectations of the college are not adhered to and positive, supportive strategies have failed. St Neots Community College seeks to promote a sense of responsibility so that every student feels safe, is respected and has the opportunity to learn. Student’s are capable of making a choice between working hard and opting out. If students misbehave, they prevent other students from completing their work effectively. Such students will be made aware that there are consequences for such actions and be expected to make the necessary improvements
Aims
- To create a safe environment for students, staff and visitors.
- To create and sustain an environment where all students fulfil their potential as individuals, respect the values of the college and take responsibility for their actions.
- To create an environment in which teachers can teach and students can learn without interruption
